Welcome to our congregation

Welcome from the President

As the current president of Congregation Agudath Jacob, it is my great pleasure to serve our shul and the Jewish community here in Central Texas. I am honored to represent a lineage of synagogue presidents dating back to our founding in 1888.

We are a welcoming, egalitarian Conservative congregation with a diverse membership. As with so many other modern Conservative shuls, we are a comfortable balance of traditional Jewish belief and practice and a contemporary Jewish social outlook and commitment to service. We support our local community, Jew and gentile alike, and we strongly support Israel.

We welcome you to join our congregation, to come to our holiday celebrations and other events, and to davven with us if you are just passing through. If you are interesting in membership, please contact the Office.

Because we are a small congregation, we welcome everyone’s involvement. Congregation Agudath Jacob is a place where every Jew is somebody special, and where every Jew’s special gifts are welcomed and cherished.

So please join us for Shabbat services and our other special events, please consider becoming a member, and thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to welcoming you in person.

L’shalom,

Dr. Jeff Levin
President
